Manager Upskill Scholarship

What is Manager Upskill?

To supplement its comprehensive range of services to Managers and Professionals, Manager Upskill has been developed to show our commitment to sponsoring our Managers' continuing professional development.

Why a scholarship program?

We want our Managers to understand that we are committed to investing in their CPD.

The scholarship program provides members with a cash incentive of $500 towards training they choose as relevant and flexible enough to meet their individual needs.

How does it operate?

The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis. The member who is awarded the scholarship will receive $500 cash to spend on skills development in the area chosen by the recipient.

Who can participate?

You are eligible to enter if you are a current financial APESMA member, are a member of the Managers and Professionals Division and complete the application form.

How are applications assessed?

Applications will be assessed for whether the applicant:

demonstrates an ongoing commitment to professional development and extending their existing skills including building on previous training;
shows an understanding of the important contribution of new and up-to-date management skills to innovation and improved organisational capability; and
recognises the need for technical specialists to broaden their skills base particularly in the areas of people management and self-development.

How is the scholarship recipient selected?

The winner will be selected on the basis of their answer to the question contained in Part 2 of the application form where applicants detail how they think they would benefit from the proposed professional development.
