STEP Campaign

2011 provides real opportunities for engineers, scientists and technology professionals working in Australian Government to have real value placed on our skills if we work together.

The Government is facing major public policy challenges - climate change, economic growth, national and regional security, sustainable development, health and the delivery of national infrastructure.

We are critical to developing and delivering the solutions to these problems. APESMA members work in these professional fields across the Australian Public Service in transport, defence, communications, environment, industry, innovation and health.

It is time for Government to invest in the recognition and retention of specialist skills and knowledge and to ensure that there are career paths for specialists in all agencies that require technical expertise.

And it is time for engineers, scientists and technology professionals to step up across the Australian Government and have our say on these issues. This is the purpose of the STEP Campaign.

If you want a say in the future of science, technology and engineering in Government join the STEP campaign today and get your colleagues involved.
